As I prepared for the CSC mission in Bandung, I was warned about food in Indonesia.
Indonesia pride itself in its food: its variety, its flavors, its spices, its warmth, its differences with Western food, its uniqueness, its distinctiveness!
Food in Indonesia was promising to be an adventure on its own and it did not disappoint to say the least! What a food adventure it has been!
After close to 2 weeks in Bandung, I cannot stop to be amazed by the food. Whatever your style or culinary profile, Indonesia has something for you!

There is a region in Indonesia called Papua Etnik in Irian. People from Papua are known to be eating anything that has 4 legs, or more or less (Dog, cat, bats, rats..). It is said that if you travel through this region you surely are grateful that a law was recently passed to prevent tourists from being added to the menu!
