Before the Rooster Crows..

On the second day of our group trip to Ciwidey, a few early risers had a plan to wake up early to visit a local market. 6 of us did so before the rooster crows.. or almost..!
The rooster that woke us up!

Karen, Maej, Trupty, Terry, Yolande

The sun rise was absolutely magnificent; peaceful and awe inspiring!

The reward for waking up early did not stop there as we were all surprised to find a wide variety of food and articles. Countless types of rice, rainbow range colours of chips and spices, all the fruits the land can produce and also all types of meat.

Hot dry peppers

However the best part was the locals friendliness. They want wanted to have their picture taken..

Or at least did not me doing so!!

After checking out, we all left to an old crater. We had a boat ride, ate succulent fruits dipped in chocolate fondue and headed back to Bandung.

Yummy!!
We arrived in town just in time for a late lunch or early dinner at Porto restaurant, courteousy of Waya and ABV!
I don’t know if there is much to read into it, but we all ordered Western food!
Once again we learned a lot about this fascinating country during this week end.
Now it’s time to rest and prepare for the last week of our assignment or to celebrate St Patrick’s Day for those who do..!
