Monday: 07:30 Appel

Each day DISKOMINFO starts with the appel, but on Monday it is a bit more special at it is the beginning of the week. We were invited to join the Monday morning appel, the other days we are dismissed.

At the parking lot in front of the office all departments of DISKOMINFO are lined up behind their signs.




Two employees read out something. As all was in Bahasa, we couldn't unfortunately understand anything of what they were saying.

Then Pak Dudi took the floor! He gave Karen, Manuel and myself a warm welcome. He explained shortly that we come from IBM and are with a whole team of different countries.

All three we were asked to come to the front to introduce ourselves. People started smiling when I said: "Saya orang Belanda".


Pak Dudi further explained that IBM used to be known as hardware supplier for PC's and Thinkpads, but that nowadays Services are our major source of income.

After the appel we went straight back to work and we started from an other office were we did some interviews/ little workshops today.

Manuel and Karen took care of the process related to mobile access where I had an interview with Ibu Hermin about procurement processes, as this is my area of expertise.


Tomorrow we will have a lot to elaborate, so we can consider the day as worthwhile!
